At the end of 2025, we ran a photo competition, looking for the best car caves in Britain, in partnership with car pervert Jonny Smith at The Late Brake Show. We received hundreds of fantastic entries, featuring a wide range of vehicles and garage configurations.
To say it’s been a challenge picking the winners is an understatement! However, after several sessions sifting through the entries, we are ready to reveal the 2nd and 3rd place entries, along with some honourable mentions.
“A sporty collection with some highly desirable classics, imports, restorations and self-builds.”
Imported to the UK from the Middle East, this collection includes six cars and two motor bikes, with two of the cars being ‘ex press cars’ – used in a number of publications. Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) Mono; Ferrari 599 GTB (rebuilt after being found full of sand and engine out); McLaren 12C (with swipe doors); Caterham 270R (ex press car that Bob Laishley Caterham CEO had his press photos taken in); Mini GP2 press car; Rubystone Renault Twizy; Landrover Defender 110 (project build); Ant Ansteads Dowsett Classic Cars (mid build); Lotus Emira. Pretty impressive I’m sure you’ll agree!

“An eclectic mix of vehicles, including a truck and a tuk tuk (try saying that fast)!”
This crazy car cave comprises a real mezzanine floor with a full size kitchen, games consoles and 84 inch TV, full size snooker table and much more. The collection features small motorcycles, two Peterbilt semi trucks (one of which belonged to Chris Eubank); Three Mustangs, including a Shelby Super Snake (one of only 6 RHD manuals); One Ford Cortina Consul MK1 1962 with only 17000 miles (spent 53 years in a barn); One 1939 Bedford truck. An AC Cobra kit car; A Harvester International tractor (restored); Two Landrover Defenders; A Ferrari 308 GT. And a tuk-tuk for good measure!
