The London Electric Vehicle Company (LEVC) have a proud history producing vehicles for the taxi industry. Since 1908 they have delivered vehicles with an unrivalled blend of performance, functionality and craftsmanship. Evolution and the arrival of electric vehicle technology has turned the company into a modern electric vehicle company.
Originally focused on the Greater London area, the LEVC now operates a green global footprint with an unrivalled manufacturing facility and Headquarters in Ansty, England, European sales office in Frankfurt, and operations across Europe and key international markets.
As part of general refurbishment of its production facilities, the LEVC sought to overhaul several key areas in its production line and workshops. A key area of focus was the Audit area where vehicles are inspected for quality assurance. The LEVC sought a new flooring solution that would ‘lift’ the aesthetics of the area and perform well in a busy work environment. Ease of installation, simple maintenance and budget ere other key considerations.
Taxi for Duramat! We were honoured to be contacted by the LEVC to discuss their requirements and supply a selection of samples from our 7mm PVC floor tile range for their consideration. The ‘DURA’ range is perfect for garages and vehicle workshops alike and can cope with a wide heavy objects and rolling weights.
Impressed with the quality and simplicity of the floor tiles, the LEVC settled on the patternless DuraTile™ interlocking floor tile in a combination of black and grey colour to compliment their long established and synonymous bright yellow branding. They chose to self-install DIY the floor tiles and were extremely impressed with how the tile responded during laying and cutting.
